Abby has directed or music-directed more than twenty high school shows since graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003 where she received a BME in Vocal Music Education. Abby taught music and theatre in Elizabeth, Colorado, for eight years before joining the Overland High School faculty in 2011 and receiving her MEd from Concordia University.  Outside of education, Abby has worked closely with Parker Theatre Productions, a non-profit acting company based out of Parker, Colorado. With PTP, Abby has performed such roles as Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof and The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods. Also with PTP, Abby has enjoyed being on staff for Oklahoma! as the costume mistress and Guys and Dolls as the music director. Abby currently sits on PTP's Board of Directors as the resident dramaturge.

Eric Eidson is a local actor, director, playwright, and theatre educator in Aurora, CO. He is the Theatre Director at Overland High School and some of his directing credits include Shrek the Musical, The Odd Couple (Male and Female), Sweeney Todd, To Kill a Mockingbird, and the world premiere of Illusions of Grandeur, Inc. Eric received degrees in both Acting and Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and is currently in his final year as a MFA Playwriting candidate with an emphasis in dramaturgy from the Hollins Playwright’s Lab. Eric is a published playwright and his plays have been produced in six states and even Germany. He is excited to be a part of the inaugural year of CCAST.

 

Tim Brown has been teaching acting and technical theatre at Smoky Hill High School since 2005, and before that at Bear Creek High School.  He has directed more than 30 shows, and travelled internationally with Up With People after graduating from CU Boulder with a BA in Theatre and an MA in English.

The CCAST Faculty is comprised of performer/educators with years of professional experience. Our faculty is dedicated to inspiring and preparing the next generation of Thespians, with an emphasis on the "whole performer"--not an actor, or a director, or a technition, or a singer.... but ALL OF THE ABOVE.
